JINAN, July 30 (Xinhua) -- China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) jointly released nearly 2 million fish fry on Friday, aiming to restore aquatic biological resources in the Yellow Sea.
A release ceremony was held and streamed live in east China's coastal city of Yantai and the ROK's Mokpo City. China released 1.2 million fry, and the ROK released over 700,000 fry.
China and the ROK have taken turns hosting the activity in the Yellow Sea since 2018.
Ma Lufeng, director of the marine development bureau of Yantai's Huangbohai New Area, said that such activities help deepen marine fishery cooperation between the two countries, and also play a positive role in promoting marine economic development and the host city's image.
